    Plastic electroplating

    Our modern plastic electroplating plants are used for the surface finishing of raw plastic parts made of ABS or ABS-PC. Hübner-KTB Oberflächentechnik GmbH has many years of extensive expertise in the electroplating of plastic parts for both interior and exterior applications with various chrome surfaces (high-gloss or matt in different degrees of gloss). Through electroplating, the metal layers give the surfaces a decorative appearance, high scratch resistance, a stiffer bond with better heat resistance and protection against static charging, electrical interference (shielding) and the effects of UV light. Due to the different geometries, requirements, surfaces, etc., a specific processing programme is stored in the control of the electroplating machine for each article.
    As a member of the Fachverband Galvanisierter Kunststoffe e.V. (FGK), we pay attention to the careful handling of all incoming and outgoing resources.

    In our electroplating plants, all relevant process baths are extracted. In the exhaust air system, which is designed according to the latest technical and chemical findings, this exhaust air is then completely cleaned. We prove the effectiveness in regular monitoring measurements.
    In our modern water treatment plants, the waste water produced in rinses and process baths is turned back into pure water. In this process, each batch of water is analysed in the final control and only released if it meets our high requirements. All these analyses are subject to control by external laboratories and the relevant authorities.
